"ACROD parking"

About: Katanning Health Service

(as a service user),

At the front entrance of the hospital 3 regular parking bays have been converted to 3 ACROD parking bays but they are still standard size.  They are not wide enough to allow vehicle doors to be opened fully if the next bay is occupied. There should only be 2 bays, not 3. Please re-paint and install a bollard in the centre.

Dear composeren55,

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback regarding the ACROD parking bays at the front entrance of the hospital.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Accessible parking is essential for many of our patients and visitors, and it’s important that these bays are both appropriately sized and practical to use. Your observation about the current width and usability—particularly when adjacent bays are occupied—is very helpful.

We will pass your comments on to the relevant facilities and infrastructure team for review, including your suggestion to reconsider the number of bays and the potential addition of a central bollard to improve access.

Thank you again for highlighting this issue. Feedback like yours assists us in identifying areas where we can improve the accessibility and safety of our services.

Kind regards,

Matt Wells
