"Access to urgent care"

About: Korumburra Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

We had an extremely disappointing experience recently. The Korumburra website indicates it has a 24/7 urgent care, I believe this is misleading.

My child had a fever and uncontrollable shaking. The nurses rang the on call doctor and I understand they refused to come in? The nurses were helpful and recommended me to go to another health service, who were amazing and my child's case so significant they were seen to immediately with a cat 2 call, and admitted to ward. 

I don’t understand why Korumburra would advertise 24/7 care when it’s seemingly not the case? I believe it cost me and my child over an hour of time where we could have got help earlier.
