(as a service user),

The meal delivery is satisfactory.

However, I am gluten intolerant I had tried choosing carefully from the menu supplied, and as the portions are quite small thought I might be O.K., but experienced reactions to gluten. I needed the meals as I was about to undergo major surgery and I live alone.

I found only 3 options for me to choose from that the ingredient list said were gluten free. I contacted the office and asked if someone could liaise with Lite n Easy about accessing gluten free options from their regular menu, but have not had any feedback.

The My Choice menu has a good variety of choices for anyone who does not have special dietary needs.

I found the portion size rather small.

I feel that I will not be able to continue with this service with so few choices.

Living in a small town with limited options to obtain ready to eat meals makes a Meals on Wheels option vital.

I'm sorry to hear that the meal options available did not adequately meet your dietary requirements, particularly at such an important time while you were preparing for and recovering from major surgery.

We understand how important it is to have safe and suitable meal choices for people with gluten intolerance. While the Lite n' Easy My Choice menu currently has limited gluten-free options, we are able to offer an alternative through our hospital meal service. These meals are provided frozen and include a range of gluten-free options that may better meet your dietary needs and reduce the risk of gluten-related reactions.

If you would like to discuss this option further, please let us know and we would be happy to arrange this service or provide you with more information about the available meals.
