"Exceptional Care from Midwife Antenatal and Postnatal Service (MAPS) at Armadale Hospital"

About: Armadale Hospital / Birth Suite (and Antenatal Assessment Unit) Armadale Hospital / Maud Bellas Maternity Ward & Neonatal Nursery

(as the patient),

I’ve recently welcomed my baby boy into the world at Armadale Hospital via succeeding in a VBAC. This was all made possible from the exceptional care I had throughout my pregnancy from the MAPS team at Armadale Hospital. Continuity of care from the same amazing & caring Midwife made the journey of my pregnancy so much easier. My pregnancy came with a lot of unknowns, regular assessments at the AAU, and ultrasounds. Knowing I had my midwife to call on and seek advice and support from was honestly the best. What MAPS has to offer with continuity of care throughout pregnancy and postnatally is so valuable!

Dear septemberhg99,

Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback about the Midwife Antenatal and Postnatal Service (MAPS) at Armadale Hospital.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy and on achieving your VBAC. We are delighted to hear that the continuity of care, support, and guidance you received from the MAPS team helped make your pregnancy journey a positive experience, particularly throughout the uncertainties and additional assessments you faced.

Your kind words about the care, compassion, and dedication shown by your midwife are greatly appreciated. We know how valuable it is to have a trusted healthcare professional to turn to during pregnancy and after birth, and it is wonderful to hear that the MAPS model of care made such a meaningful difference to you and your family.

Please be assured that your feedback will be shared with the MAPS team and the wider maternity staff at Armadale Hospital. Recognition such as this is always appreciated and serves as encouragement for our staff to continue providing high-quality, person-centred care.

Thank you again for sharing your experience. We wish you, your baby boy, and your family all the very best for the future.

Kind Regards,

Sarah-Louise Laing
