About: Patient Assisted Travel Scheme - WACHS Midwest

(as the patient),

I felt judged. I feel the PATS Office in Geraldton expressed no empathy or compassion. I was asked to provide proof of address three times, despite providing a driver's license and rates account for Geraldton, when I had moved back home due to diagnosis and cancer treatment. Scattered communication and judgmental attitude.

I am very sorry to learn you found your interactions with the PATS Office in Geraldton to be judgmental and having no compassion. Our aim is to provide efficient and friendly support to our community members in their time of need.

If you have now returned to living permanently in Geraldton since you last confirmed your Perth address with us you would be eligible for support. I understand our Administration Coordinator has been in contact with you directly to discuss the documentation we can accept and I hope this will allow us to provide you the financial support you need at this difficult time.
