"Tongue tie release"

My 4 day old newborn had a severe tongue tie which was significantly impacting her feeding. Dr Prasanna at Wonthaggi hospital was able to complete the procedure to release my baby’s tongue tie on the ward, which meant I did not have to travel 2+ hours to Melbourne to have the procedure done privately. The midwives then supported me closely to assist my baby in feeding with her released tongue. I am extremely grateful that this procedure was able to be done on the ward and that I had support following the procedure. 

My birth experience at Wonthaggi hospital was also very positive, the midwives and doctors were supportive, professional and accommodating. I am very grateful for the level of care that I have received from the team.
