My mother recently came into ED with a complaint. She was seen straight away and stayed there for approximately 5 hours until a bed became available. She was seen by multiple doctors and her care was exceptional.
She was transferred to 6South where she was being monitored and all the nurses were calm, caring and thorough. Doctors round early on the surgical ward so you know the plan first thing. The treating doctors liaised with the rest of the multidisciplinary team and her discharge plan was faultless. Having a team that communicates definitely leads to a better patient experience.
