My father was admitted to Armadale Hospital with appendicitis and received exceptional care throughout his journey in the Emergency Department, Colyer Ward, and the 23-Hour Ward.
We would like to recognise Dr Kudzai, Consultant Boon Pin Teo and his team, RN Hope, Demi, Ashleigh, Dr Jake, the ward pharmacist, and all other staff involved in his care. Every staff member demonstrated professionalism, compassion, kindness, and a strong commitment to patient-centred care.
What stood out most was the team's partnership with our family regarding medication management. Staff consistently explained medications, involved us in decisions when observations such as blood pressure or heart rate were abnormal, and respected our long-standing knowledge of my father's health needs. This made us feel listened to, respected, and genuinely included in decision-making.
Communication was excellent throughout the admission. Staff kept us informed about test results, scans, treatment plans, and next steps, always communicating with openness, patience, and respect.
Most importantly, this high standard of care was consistently demonstrated across multiple teams and disciplines, reflecting a strong culture of excellence within the organisation. We ask that this feedback be shared with nursing, medical, and executive leaders so they know their efforts are translating into outstanding patient experiences.
Our family is sincerely grateful to everyone involved. The professionalism, compassion, communication, and collaborative approach shown during a stressful time made a lasting positive impact on us. The care provided was truly exceptional and a credit to the hospital.
"Compliment"
