I am extremely disappointed by the treatment my parent-in-law received from the doctor.

My in-law attended the clinic after being instructed by the hospital to have viral swab testing because their spouse was in hospital, immunocompromised, and had tested positive for RSV, Influenza B and Rhinovirus. My in-law was simply following the advice they had been given by the hospital.

Instead of being treated with empathy and professionalism during an incredibly stressful time, they left feeling belittled, dismissed and humiliated. My in-law was reportedly told that the viral swab tests were too expensive to use on them and that the hospital nurse who directed my in-law to attend the clinic was an idiot. I believe that regardless of any disagreement with the hospital's advice, no patient should be spoken to in that manner.

When someone is already worried about a seriously ill loved one, they deserve compassion and respectful care—not to be made to feel like an inconvenience.

I hope this feedback encourages the practice to review how patients are treated. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this doctor.
