I recently had a total knee replacement at Busselton Hospital. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and I can honestly say that getting ready for theatre was a breeze. I felt completely relaxed and comfortable and once in recovery I couldn't believe it was all over.

Hi Gemma.

Thanks to the anaesthesia pump I experienced almost no pain and was moving around easily at home with the Zimmer frame for the first five days. I removed the pump on the morning of day four so I felt a little discomfort on day five but that might have had more to do with being a little too active. I kept the Zimmer frame near my bed for night time toilet visits but I no longer use it during the day.

I can't believe how great it feels to be so free of pain. The only sensation I experienced was the incision and swelling discomfort and I certainly wouldn't call that pain.
