I'm receiving chemotherapy & have been advised to present to ED when at all concerned about unwellness, and most importantly if I have a fever. So after having a minor headcold for a few days & then started with gastro signs and fever overnight I felt pretty rotten and worried. Arrived at ED just after 5am, and was triaged straight away and into an isolation bed by 5:30am, bloods taken, on fluids & iv antibiotics by 6am, then left to rest with gentle checkups to see if I needed anything else. Xray done and reported, and cleared to go home by 10:30am, but offered to be admitted if I felt I needed it. Thankfully nothing more needed and likely just an unfortunate gastro event but many thanks to Drs Trent and Flick and nurses Brendan and several others for their kindness and sensible thorough care. SO thankful to be living here with excellent care available. Thankyou.
"thanks for excellent care in ED"
