"Compassionate care"

About: Armadale Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I was told by my GP I needed to attend the emergency department yesterday to have my eye infection checked. Although I was hesitant, when it's the busiest time of year, I was never made to feel like a burden. Nurse Kerry-lee who triaged me was very professional and kind. The doctor was quick to diagnose and get me home. A special call out to the clerk who came to my bedside to check my details. She was so kind and spoke to me in a way that made me feel safe and welcomed at that ED. Although I was in and out in under 2 hours, I never felt rushed and received high quality, compassionate care.

Thank you Armadale Health Service!

Dear phoenixwx48

Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand that coming to the Emergency Department can be daunting, and I’m pleased our staff helped you feel safe, welcome, and reassured throughout your visit.

It is lovely to hear that Nurse Kerry-Lee, the doctor, and the clerk who visited you made such a positive impression. Your feedback will be shared with them and the wider ED team.

This is how we would like all our patients to feel when they come to Armadale Hospital. Thank you for recognising the compassion and professionalism of our staff. It will mean a great deal to them.

Kind regards

Sarah-Louise Laing
