"MAPS Program - my midwife"

About: Osborne Park Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I had such a positive experience with the MAPS program. My midwife was Caylin and she was amazing from start to finish. Having the same midwife throughout my pregnancy allowed me to build a relationship with her and feel comfortable asking questions or raising any concerns. She was incredibly knowledgeable and understanding, and always explained things in a way that was easy for me to understand. I felt reassured, supported and confident going into my birth.

Although Caylin wasn’t there for my birth, I still felt supported by the staff caring for me and had the birth experience I had hoped for. The postnatal support was also great, particularly having regular visits once I was home and knowing I could ask questions or seek guidance as I adjusted to having a newborn.

Caylin was definitely the standout part of my MAPS experience. As a first-time mum, she made me feel like I had nothing to worry about and I couldn’t recommend her or the program enough.

Dear cruxgf46

It was lovely to read of your positive experience with the Midwifery Antenatal Postnatal Service (MAPS) at Osborne Park Hospital. The information provided to patients during the antenatal and post-natal period, especially as a first-time Mum can sometimes feel a little overwhelming, so I was pleased to read that Caylin was there to ensure you understood all the information being provided and reassure any concerns that arose allowing you to feel confident throughout your pregnancy and post-partum journey. Although Caylin was not there for your birth it was affirming to read that you still felt supported and well cared for by the staff on labour and birth suite.

Your enthusiasm to recommend MAPS is a testament to the care and support they provide to patients through continuity of care, and it will give me great pleasure to pass on your compliment to Caylin and the wider MAPS team.

Wishing you and your family all the best.

Kind regards,

Karen
