"Recent admission Albany Maternity Ward"

About: Albany Health Campus / Emergency Department Albany Health Campus / Maternity Ward

(as the patient),

Earlier last week I was admitted to Albany Hospital into the Maternity Ward for two days.  From the moment I arrived at the Emergency department in the early hours of the morning I received the best of care from all involved.  I spent a short time in ED with the treating Dr and all staff showing me respect and caring for me with professionalism and compassion.  I then transferred to the Maternity Ward as a non maternity patient where I continued to receive such professional and friendly care from the gynaecology Consulting team, all nursing staff and the support staff.  I was quickly assessed and fasted for OT that day and the after care was amazing.  There are way too many people to name individually and I certainly have no negative things to say.  We are very lucky living in a regional centre to have such experienced and knowledgable staff available when required.  Having worked in the healthcare industry for several years it is always very different to be "on the other side" however I did not have any hesitation in putting all my confidence in the care that i was going to receive at Albany Hospital.  I would like to thank all staff in the hospital that cared from me and all the support and friendship I received during my stay in the Maternity Ward.

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience at Albany Health Campus.

We are pleased to hear that you received compassionate, professional care throughout your stay, from the Emergency Department through to the Maternity Ward, surgery and recovery. Your kind words about the medical, nursing and support staff are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the teams involved.

It is especially meaningful to receive such feedback from someone with healthcare experience. Thank you for recognising the dedication of our staff and the care they provide to our regional community.

We wish you a continued smooth recovery and thank you again for your feedback.

Kind regards,
Kate Hambleton
