"PET SCAN"

About: Prince of Wales Hospital / Campus Centre 2 - Nuclear Medicine Department

(as the patient),

Today I had a PET Scan done at the Prince of Wales Hospital.

The team that handled my scan was 1st class in terms of patient care from the nurses to the technicians and the doctors.

I was overly impressed with how they made their patients feel at ease and cared for during a tough situation for most of us.

Tom the tech was very gentle with inserting the cannula into my arm especially since I had a needle phobia.

The two techs who did my scan (Melissa and Hajar) were both very thoughtful and even checked up on me during the PET scan by singing me a few songs towards the end when my body was starting to ache and my mind was starting to get restless this made me relax and allowed me to complete my scan,

Hi Taurean_Prince

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experience with our Nuclear Medicine and PET team at Prince of Wales Hospital.

We are delighted to hear that you felt well cared for and supported throughout your PET scan. We understand that having a PET scan can be an anxious and challenging experience so it is wonderful to hear that our team helped you feel comfortable and at ease.

We are very fortunate to have such dedicated staff who work so well as a team to provide a high standard of patient care. We will be sure to pass on your kind words to Tom, Melissa and Hajar.

Thank you again for recognising the care provided by our technologists, nurses and medical team.
