Following a vitrectomy i was informed I would need to return to the eye clinic at 8am the following morning. I live 2 hours away... I feel it would make common sense and courtesy to inform patients of this prior as we have to make travel and accommodation arrangements. Also informed following surgery that a follow up appt would be sent for approximately 2 weeks...no appt sent. Spent 2 days attempting to get in touch with eye clinic to be told no appt even in the system!!!! Appt arranged for following week...2 and half hours still waiting. I'm sure as busy as the eye clinic is...there must be a better system.
ADDIT: surgery, specialist and nursing care cant be faulted!
