In June our mother had a deterioration in her health which meant she could no longer live at home with support services. After a few weeks of care in Northam Hospital, she was transferred to Goomalling Sunshine Home. Here she received the most fabulous care in an environment that understood her Wheatbelt history and related to her with respect. The environment was warm and welcoming with lovely garden surrounds, but the staff were what stood out. Our thanks go to every staff member for caring for our mother and for her local hospital to then accepting her for a permanent care bed in her hometown. She is back where she has always felt a deep belonging to and this brings her comfort when the Alzheimer's brings anxiety.
