Dear hydrusgs46

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to read about your experience.

We recognise that waiting for treatment in the Emergency Department (ED) can be distressing. During periods of high demand, patients may experience lengthy wait times and are assessed and treated according to clinical urgency.

Noting your question about how concerns can be escalated, information about Aishwarya's CARE Call is available in the ED waiting room and throughout the hospital. Aishwarya's CARE Call provides patients, families, and carers with a way to raise concerns if they are worried that a patient's condition is deteriorating. The Armadale and Kalamunda Aishwarya's CARE Call number is (08) 9391 2419.

As Care Opinion is an anonymous platform, we are unable to follow up with you directly. If you would like to discuss your presentation further, please contact our Consumer Liaison Service on (08) 9391 1153 or at AKG_ConsumerLiaison@health.wa.gov.au. We would welcome the opportunity to review your concerns and provide further assistance.

Kind regards

Sarah-Louise Laing
