The Paramedics that transfered me to hospital were excellent, with professional medical response and support.
At the hospital I had to wait in Ambulance triage due to high patient volumes. During that time I was continuously monitored and given appropriate scans and tests.
Throughout my 7 day stay in the surgical ward (A72) the doctors, nurses and related imaging staff were comforting, professional and informative. Support staff were also friendly. When allowed to eat I found the food was very good.
The Macarthur Area has expanded at a rapid rate and I believe this puts extreme pressure on Cambelltown hospital facilites and staff. I think that the State Government must consider extra hospital facilities and support, as they mandate more people to be accomodated in the area.
Overall, based on my experience I would give Cambelltown hospital and staff 10 out of 10, as I think they do a great job under the pressures of high numbers of patients and limited staff.
"Taken into hospital with chronic stomach pains."
