"Amazing service from midwife Milly at King Eddies"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I was at King Eddies Memorial Hospital in Perth after having my first baby.

I was very overwhelmed as the birth did not go to plan and my husband was not able to stay with me overnight.

I found Milly so lovely, caring and amazing at rapport building. She was quick and efficient and was able to get us discharged as requested. 

I appreciated her kindness during this time and treating me like a human being rather than just a patient. 

I’m not sure of her surname but she has blonde hair and blue eyes. 

Thank you, Milly!! (Maybe spelt Millie)

Congratulations on the birth of your first baby and for taking the time to share your gratitude for midwife Milly. I am sorry to hear about the overwhelm you felt after your birth didn’t go to plan, and the way this was compounded by your husband being unable to stay overnight. We are continuously exploring how to enhance the support we provide to women following birth, especially when things don’t go to plan, and your feedback shows how much kindness and care can mean to new mums at such a vulnerable time.

I am so pleased to know that the warmth and kindness extended to you from Milly had such a significant impact on your experience, and we will be sure to pass on thanks to Milly.
