"A Community of Support in Kununurra"

About: Kununurra Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

One of our children had a nasty accident. They were taken by ambulance to Kununurra Hospital.

From the moment we arrived, we watched the entire team go above and beyond to address the extreme pain and distress of this child. There were multiple other patients in the department but we were never judged or dismissed. They recognised the urgency of treatment and the team worked seamlessly, from the handover of paramedics, the radiographers, the nurses, multiple doctors and the orderlies, we felt so well supported.

I would not hesitate to take my family to Kununurra Hospital with an emergency. This community of dedicated people have clearly got a great culture and we are very grateful for the compassion care we received. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Dear Knx24

I’m sorry about your child’s accident which caused them to be in extreme pain and distress. Thank you so much for sharing your experience here in ED and we are grateful to hear that you felt supported, listened to and so well cared for. Your kind words about our teamwork, compassion and dedication mean a lot to the team and we are very proud of the care they provide everyone who comes through the doors. Thank you again for sharing the different that our team made to your family.

Warm regards,

Sophie Black
