I just want to commend staff in the PCH burns unit for being so considerate, kind and professional. My son hurt his finger when he was sitting in the bottom of the pram and sustained a friction burn. We attended PCH twice and had three phone consultations. I was quite nervous as we haven't had to do anything like this but those nerves were put aside as soon as we spoke to staff within the unit. It really helps a bad situation to deal with supportive staff. Everyone, including the entertaining clown staff member, made my son feel as comfortable as he could.
Practically, I appreciate being referred for an xray to give me piece of mind and being allowed to do the telehealth appointments (after being given all the supplie) which saves me bringing my two toddlers in.
Thanks again
