"My hospital stay"

About: Mount Beauty Hospital

(as the patient),

I was transferred to Mt Beauty hospital the day after having a total hip replacement. The patient transport ambulance broke down, so I was transported in a car, which was very uncomfortable and we were late arriving at Mt Beauty. 

The staff were very caring and attentive getting me into bed. The kitchen had put aside a meal for me, which the nurses heated and served to me. 

The care and attention was extraordinary. I cannot thank all staff enough!

I was sorry to learn that your journey to our hospital was uncomfortable so soon after your joint surgery. Recovering from surgery can be challenging enough without the added discomfort of travelling in a smaller vehicle, and I regret that this was part of your experience. I trust that the necessary repairs have now been completed and that the larger vehicle is back on the road.

Providing care as close to home as possible is important for our patients, their families, and our local health service. It was therefore especially pleasing to hear that the care, attention, and support you received from our team were extraordinary.
