"Exemplary Care at Harvey District Hospital"

My 85-year-old mother was admitted to Harvey District Hospital via the Emergency Department for a critical illness. I am a health professional who does not live nearby and was overwhelmed by the generosity and compassion shown by the nursing and medical staff who kept me informed about my mother's health and plan of care on a regular basis during my journey to Harvey. Upon arrival I found my mother and family to be extremely well cared for, and this care was immediately extended to me.

I had worked as a nurse for over 40 years and was intimately aware of how busy the staff are. This did not compromise the care and compassion shown in any way. Thank you sincerely Harvey Hospital Heros for your obvious culture of kindness and for the high-quality care you deliver when all of your resources are clearly stretch. My family and I are immensely grateful for your support in honoring our mothers wishes and expediting her transition to palliative care. We are all certainly in a better position to support her because of your exemplary care.
