"The WACHS birth and parent education programs"

About: Positive Birth Program

(as a service user),

We were told about the WACHS programs from our midwife so we decided to book into the positive birth program. my partner was working away and had random casual, ad hock work. I was worried that we may not be able to make all the classes. so i emailed the coordinator before booking explaining our situation to see if we could mix and match some of the classes between in person and telehealth and if it was possible to change things around if he had last minute changes with work commitment.

The coordinator, Kasey, got back to us straight away and was so understanding, flexible, warm and friendly in her response. with a bit of shuffling around we were able to make all the classes thanks to Kasey's help.

The positive birth program was absolutely fantastic. The midwives that took the classes were all so lovely and knowledgeable and the information shared over the sessions prepared us so well to go into the birth feeling excited calm and empowered. after such a positive experience with those first classes we decided to sign up and do all the other classes!

Again, we couldn't speak more highly of all of the courses content, the wonderful teachers and how accessible it is! every email from the coordinator Kasey was met with kindness, understanding and flexibility to make it all work.

At the end of July 2026 we had the most amazing home birth and we have to give so much thanks for these courses as they prepared us to go into it feeling prepared and with the tools and understanding to make it a wonderful and positive experience. I'm blown away at how truly fantastic these programs are and that they are a free service we have access too!! thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful that this is available!

Thank you MonWill26 for taking the time to share your story, and congratulations on the birth of your baby!

I’m so glad we were able to support you both to attend a mix of classes that worked for you. We understand how difficult it can be to juggle life’s commitments, which is why having flexible options for families is so important to us.

Thank you for sharing your experience of the Positive Birth Program and our other classes. It is wonderful to hear that you were able to take what you learned and use it to help prepare for the birth of your baby. I am excited to share your lovely feedback with our Parent Education Team, I know it will mean a great deal to them.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience with us. Your kind words are very warmly received.

Wishing you and your family all the very best as you settle into life with your new baby. We would love to welcome you back to our programs again in the future.

Warm Regards,

Kasey
