"Vaginal birth after Caesarean - Parent Workshop"

After a traumatic birth with my first baby which ended in an emergency caesarean I knew I wanted to birth nowhere else but at KEMH. 

When accepted I received nothing but understanding from the staff and people that really listened. I attended an appointment with my midwife who suggested I attend the VBAC course run at KEMH. 

My husband and I started to worry about this birth as it started to brings up a lot of feelings from our first. After attending the VBAC course we felt as ease with our decision, informed with our choices and listened to by the staff. 

We left the class thinking, “how did we not know about these courses with our first? And “how were we so uniformed of our choices?” KEMH has just blown us away with how much more informed we are going into this pregnancy, feeling at ease with our decisions, listened to but speaking to professionals face to face and not feeling judged to ask “the silly questions.” 

I’m going into my next labour feeling excited. I know I will be well looked after by the staff and know the risks my choices may have all from the wonderful VBAC workshop we attended.
