"Bentley Hospital Family Birth Centre"

This midwifery lead practice at Bentley Hospital Western Australia is fantastic. The continuity of care model could not have been more supportive and empowering during my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Having the same small team of midwives (Frankie, Ming and Bella) looking after me on my whole journey really made me feel so cared for and informed. I felt so comfortable asking questions and they always thoroughly discussed my options and supported my decisions. 

 This service is outstanding and I am so grateful for everything they did to empower and support me in my pregnancy and postpartum journey. Having them care for me and my baby 6 weeks postpartum was amazing. They provided me with the best possible care they could with the best medical knowledge and practice. They have been an amazing advocate and support network to have during this time and made my first pregnancy an informed and great one even with the challenges that arose in the late stages of my pregnancy. 

This service should be available to all Australian women as it truely made my experience one I can look back on positively even with a complicated and challenging birth. I feel so grateful to have had access to the midwifery birth centre at Bentley Hospital and wish to thank them for their knowledge, professionalism and genuine care and compassion. I would especially like to thank my main midwife Frankie for helping me through this amazing, and challenging life changing time of entering motherhood. 

I would definitely recommend this service and believe the government should invest in more of this model of care as it is fantastic and was the reason I had a positive birth experience even after going through a very complicated and challenging birth.
