"I had appointments with Urology, who sent me to MIT for a CT Scan."

About: Kalgoorlie Health Campus / Kalgoorlie Outpatient Clinic

(as the patient),

After a Consultation with the Urologist, he suggested a trip to MIT for a CT scan and blood test.

I had to get the blood test before the CT scan.

A dye was used with the CT scan to reveal the inner me.

After a waiting period of 3 months, a return to Urology, for the results of the CT scan.

The Consultant Urologist, the lesions on my Liver were not Cancerous; nothing further needs doing.

The initial concern for my Prostate was, it could be left alone, nothing to be done, or proceed with a clean out of the Prostate area.

I was able to leave with a great result of no procedure unless things change.

Dear Keizh45

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and health journey with our team at Kalgoorlie Health Campus. I appreciate your detailed feedback and am pleased to hear that your investigations resulted in a positive outcome, undergoing multiple tests, CT scan and then waiting for follow up results can be an anxious time.

We are glad that your consultation provided reassurance, and the CT scan confirmed the lesions were not cancerous, it is also encouraging to hear from your feedback that you were able to consider the available management options and that no procedure is currently required unless your condition changes in the future.

I truly appreciate you sharing this journey on Care Opinion, take care and all the best.

Kind regards

Liam Avery
