"Sincere gratitude for exceptional care"

About: Bunbury Hospital

(as a carer),

Dear Hospital Management and Care Teams,

I am writing to express my deepest appreciation for the extraordinary care my friend received yesterday, 9 October, after being rushed to Bunbury Hospital from his doctor's practice.

From the very first moment, every single person involved operated like a perfectly well-oiled machine. I want to specifically commend:

• The Ambulance Service: For their swift, professional, and reassuring response during a critical moment.

• Cassandra at Reception: Who greeted us with efficiency and warmth, setting a calming tone immediately.

• The Medical & Nursing Staff: Including the doctors, the registrar, and the nursing team who managed an incredibly overcrowded ward with absolute grace.

What amazed me most was that, in spite of the intense pressure and chaos of a crowded ward, there was overwhelming empathy, kindness, and calmness.

Both the patient and I, as his carer, were treated with the utmost care, dignity, and respect. Your staff did not just deliver an incredible level of medical service; they protected our peace of mind.

Thank you all for turning a frightening, difficult time into a calm and manageable experience. You are absolute heroes.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words about the care your friend received at Bunbury Hospital.

It is heartening to hear that during what was undoubtedly a frightening and stressful situation, you and your friend felt supported, respected, and cared for by our team. We are especially pleased to hear your recognition of the coordinated response provided by the ambulance service, our reception staff, and the medical and nursing teams involved in your friend's care.

Your comments about Cassandra at reception and the compassion, professionalism, and calm demonstrated by staff despite the pressures of a busy and overcrowded department are particularly meaningful. Our teams work hard to provide safe, person-centred care, and it is wonderful to know that their efforts helped make a difficult experience more manageable for both the patient and you as their carer.

We will ensure your feedback is shared with Cassandra and the Emergency Department team so they can see the positive impact their care had on you and your friend.
