We came in to start our family, trying to go in without any expectations of what the experience would be like. When you’re pregnant, there is a lot of noise about child birth - from horror stories shared by family and friends to a lot of fear and misinformation spread on social media about how things ‘will be’ or ‘should be’. However, from the moment we arrived at the hospital we felt comforted, and given enough space to work through labour ourselves without a lot of interruptions, while still knowing someone was floating around ready to help as soon as we needed it. We had full confidence in the delivery team and felt incredibly supported for our entire stay. Our birth ended up being a far better experience than we were lead to anticipate, even through a long labour and an assisted birth. We are so grateful to the team at Leongatha Hospital!
