"BRHS ED Superstars"

About: Bairnsdale Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I attended BRHS ED after experiencing anaphalaxis from unknown allergen. Lifesaving Ambulance Care and then to the BRHS ED. Care was fantastic, all queries were answered even though it was busy nothing was overlooked. Nurses Sophie, Marcus, Ryan(?) Prue and the incredible Alex made the scariest day of my life manageable. D/C meds organised and home with all follow ups sorted. Thanks to Georgie also (PSC) for paving the way.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this lovely feedback after what must have been such a frightening experience.

I'm so pleased that, at such a vulnerable and scary time, you felt safe, cared for and reassured.

It is wonderful to hear that, despite a busy Emergency Department, you felt that nothing was overlooked, your questions were answered and you follow up was organised before you headed home.

Thank you for shout out to the AV & ED teams and the PSC - this is a timely reminder that that it is often the calm words and kindness, alongside excellent clinical care that people remember most.

Most importantly, we are so very relieved that this scary time for you had a safe ending. While we are always here when you need us, we sincerely hope that your next visit to BRHS is under considerably less dramatic circumstances!

Thank you again for sharing your experience with us.

Kind regards,

Hayley Campbell
