"MAPS care"

About: Osborne Park Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

Having continuity of care throughout my pregnancy was a great experience. Being able to contact my midwife during business hours was really reassuring. The appointments where easy and it saved time as the midwife already knew what I wanted and could advocate for me. This became particularly valuable near the end of pregnancy when I went post dates. Without the support I think I would of been pushed into doing something I wasn't comfortable with. I really am thankful for the MAPS program.

Dear PregnancyOPH,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Midwifery Antenatal Postnatal Service (MAPS) at Osborne Park Hospital.

It was wonderful to read how the continuity of care provided by your midwife allowed you to feel well supported and advocated for when you went past your due date. I was also delighted to read how beneficial you found being able to call your midwife during business hours to gain reassurance when you had any questions or concerns.

The Women and Newborn Health Service are extremely proud to support continuity of care programs such as MAPS as it is clear of the beneficial impact it has on women receiving care through these types of services.

Thank you again for providing your feedback.

Kind regards,

Kirstie
