I was part of the Midwifery Practice program at King Edward Memorial Hospital (King Eddies) during my pregnancy, and that’s how we met Ella.
We had only a short time to interact with Ella, but the connection we built with her in that time was truly special. She took the time to understand my husband and me, our birth preferences, and what was important to us throughout the delivery process. She explained everything in detail, made sure we understood what to expect, and guided us with the right advice whenever we had questions or doubts.
What stood out to us the most was Ella’s care and support during labour and delivery. She was always mindful of our wishes, respected our preferences, and supported us with so much understanding and compassion. I was in such a vulnerable position during labour, but Ella handled the situation with such calmness, care and professionalism. She made me feel safe, supported and respected throughout the process, and I will always be grateful for the way she cared for me while helping bring our beautiful daughter into the world.
Her kindness did not stop after delivery. During the postnatal visits, she was incredibly patient, took the time to explain everything clearly, and made sure we felt comfortable and supported as new parents.
We feel genuinely fortunate to have had Ella as our midwife during this special journey. Her warmth, compassion and dedication made such a positive difference to our experience, and we cannot thank her enough.
It may be too early to say, but if we decide to plan another pregnancy in the future, Ella would absolutely be our preferred midwife again. 😊
We love you, Ella, and are so grateful for all your love, care and support. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
With lots of love and gratitude,
Baby and parents ❤️
