I recently visited the local GP about renewing a prescription and a general check up. The GP was very informative in regards to my options and explained the pros and cons of each different prescription. Although it was my first appointment with this particular doctor I felt that she really cared about what suited me and provided me with more than enough information in answer to all of my questions.
