"Better access to health services"

About: Aboriginal Outreach Program (Murrumbidgee Medicare Local)

(as the patient),

I am a full-time carer of both my husband and my son and I am in need of a knee reconstruction. I have been receiving help from Kathy Farlow from the Murrumbidgee Medicare Local as part of the Aboriginal Outreach Program. Through this program Kathy was able to help me with accessing the right care and helped me move my hospital appointment to an earlier date from the end of 2013 up to January 2013 for which I am very grateful. The Murrumbidgee Medicare local has also organised my transport to the hospital which is around 3 hours away that I don't have to pay for.

Thanks Marge for this feedback which has been passed onto Kathy. It is great to hear about the positive impact of the Care Coordination program.
