"I believe the Mater Hospital saved my life."

A gynaecologist specialist on Wickham Terrace who operates at Wesley hospital, Brisbane, I feel, missed a major diagnosis. I had placenta precreta as a result of the placenta going through the uterus into the uterine artery, bladder and bowel. As a result I had a Caesarian hysterectomy (and hernia op at the same time) all because, I think, the dr had not done more intensive MRI testing (which the mater hospital did do when I was transferred there on my request). I felt the dr insisted this wasn't needed and he would see what was happening when he cut me (horizontally) open. Had I not moved under the care of the mater hospital Brisbane, I do not believe I would have been alive today. I attribute my life to them, vertical scar and all.
