Admission paperwork was done swiftly and cheerfully by staff at admissions desk.

The waiting area for surgery has a bit to be desired. Some relatives were drinking coffee, while patients were fasting. Trolleys were wheeled past with no privacy given to patients. The chairs are very uncomfortable to sit in for a few hours with little or no distraction except a TV set on the wall. I guess this is all due to the actual environment and nursing staff managed the best they could.

The staff in theatre were wonderful and made me feel relaxed. They were very professional.

In post op care, the doctors and nurses I saw were wonderful. Cannot fault them at all.

I have been an inpatient at another Brisbane hospital and the pre op waiting area had computers, lounges, TV's and was very private and welcoming.

In 2015 Sunnybank Private Hospital will undergo a $35 million redevelopment, part of which will be the Day Surgery and Operating Theatre areas.
