I was admitted to Box Hill Hospital in April this year.

I had a bad case of pneumonia and was taken to Intensive Care Unit where I spent 3 days. I do not remember much of those days but the treatment must have been successful. I was then transferred to a ward on the 6th floor of the new part and then to a private room. I found the service to be very good, the room excellent and the nurses very helpful.

A little trouble with language was experienced but this was only a minor problem. You provided plenty of cold water but did not provide a glass to drink from. Please rectify this. I had to ask for a glass but only cups were available. One of which was not properly cleaned.

Thanks for saving my life.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Box Hill Hospital with us. Both our clinical and support staff take pride in providing high quality care and service to all our patients, so whilst it is pleasing to hear that the service and environment met your expectations and that the nurses were helpful, it is important for us to follow up in relation to the areas about which you expressed concern. I will follow up with our support staff about the availability of (clean) glasses on the wards and would be keen to hear more about the language difficulties you experienced if you would like to share more detail.

I trust that you have fully recovered from your pneumonia and are feeling much better now!
