I was born without my right (primary) forearm. I have worked as a bookkeeper using a computer all day at work. From the age of about 40 my left arm showed signs of being over it. Then progressively the pain became hand pain. My physiotherapist assisted me well with the arm and shoulder issues. When it came to the hand he was happy to refer me to a specialist hand physiotherapist. I received great advice there.
The two changes which have made the greatest improvement for me are:
Having an exercise ball next to me at work to use regularly to stretch the arm out and stretch the flat hand in a circulate motion.
**Most important: the use of an upright, handshake mouse. The improvement in my hand was measurable within weeks after starting to use the upright mouse! The one I use is an Evoluent mouse.
Best wishes for a similar improvement for others.
"Overuse syndrome of the arm and hand."
