"Staff's care made a challenging situation tolerable at Box Hill Hospital"

About: Box Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Presented to Emergency Department with abdominal pain, had tried everything to avoid it. Was given thorough care in my journey through Emergency and into Short Stay Unit. When ultrasound revealed I needed an MRI, I was promptly taken to the ward. The surgical team I came under medically and all the nurses ensured all of my needs were met. They made sure I was informed of all of the processes. Their care made a challenging situation tolerable.

Dear Recovered123

Many thanks for telling your story on Patient Opinion - it's always great to read stories like yours as we get to see where we are doing things well at Box Hill Hospital. Your story really highlights the importance of being kept informed of what is happening and this is one of our key points of focus in staff education right across Eastern Health. I am also really pleased to see that our staff eased your burden as much as possible at a very difficult time and I hope that you have continued your recovery back to good health. In the meantime, thank you again for sharing your story and I will be sure to pass your feedback onto your frontline staff as well as their managers. Kind regards, Alan Lilly
