"Reluctance to ever return to Armidale Hospital ED"

I attended ED in tears with severe pain around kidney area and nausea. I was eventually seen by the ED doctor and described symptoms. I told the doctor I had had a CT scan days earlier and they looked up the result of the CT scan. The doctor informed me that I did not have a kidney stone and I was probably suffering from depression. I was not depressed at the time - I was in severe pain. They suggested I see my own GP as they knew me better than the hospital did. The doctor gave me an injection for pain and sent me home. At no time did they do any urine test which would have shown I was urinating near pure blood. I saw my GP next morning and it turned out I had a very bad kidney infection.

My next visit was an allergic reaction. Blood pressure was very high and intense pain. Was given ECG as I also have a heart condition. ECG showed no change in previous ECG results. I tried to inform doctor that with LLB an ECG will not show if there is any problem unless I am having an actual heart attack. I was informed by doctor that this information was incorrect.

I do not attend ED on a whim and, am not highly strung and do not suffer from depression. So now when I get chest pain I am afraid to attend ED in case I am told it's just depression.

I would also like to see the receptionist on night shift that hand someone a clipboard to fill out when current details are already in the system and it's obvious that the person is in no fit state to fill it out, to offer some help. Not just go back and start talking to the ED nurses.
