"Fantastic nurse treated me with respect."

About: Sunnybank Private Hospital

(as the patient),

I had my wisdom teeth out and the entire thing was very stressful for me, made worse by a massive fear of needles. When I woke after the surgery and was resting in the recovery area the nurse who looked after me was amazing. She seemed to genuinely care about me and was considerate of my fear of needles. I still had a catheter thing in my hand which really freaked me out. I was very nauseous and the nurse gave me medication through the catheter in a calm way, blocking my view and explaining there wasn't an actual needle going in me and she did it so quickly. Then when I had to get dressed they couldn't remove the catheter until my final release so this same wonderful nurse helped me get dressed without having to look at the needle or get it caught on my clothes etc. The nurse was of Asian descent but I wish I had remembered her name to say thank you.
