(as the patient),

From being picked up by emergency ambulance and my treatment (very bad back spasms near my lower ribs), throughout my short stay at Maroondah Hospital I can only have the highest praise for all the staff. Whether they be doctors, nurses, orderly or other members their services were impeccable.

As you may know, we don't always get to hear publicly about all the great stories in health care and hospitals and Patient Opinion is certainly allowing us to do just that (and also understand where we need to improve of course).

Dear Alan,

Many thanks for kind wishes.

This was the 1st time that I needed a ambulance for emergency treatment and hopefully the last. The paramedics were kind, reassuring and very professional.

Emergency staff impressed me throughout my stay. I was kept well informed about the tests ordered, my treatment when trying to identify the cause of the spasms was truly impressive. Upon my discharge the doctor was extremely thorough, gave clear advice about how I should manage my recovery and medication regime. I cannot thank the staff enough, please pass on my best wishes to the wonderful Emergency team at Maroondah Hospital.

My wife who works at the Alfred Hospital has also very fond memories of your time there.
