"A big thank you to all the staff at Box Hill Hospital"

About: Box Hill Hospital

(as the patient),

Today was my first time visiting Box Hill Hospital after my accident and I just wanted to thank everyone who helped me.

To the door man who helped my mother in law get my wheelchair out of her car and then wheeled me all the way to the clinic and spoke to the nurses on my behalf - THANK YOU.

To the all the nurses at the orthopaedic outpatients clinic who showed empathy and a high level of patient care - THANK YOU.

To the orthopaedic surgeon who answered all my questions and provided me with an action plan - THANK YOU.

To all the other hospital staff who gave me a smile and asked if they could help when I was waiting in the foyer to leave - THANK YOU.

To to physiotherapist who I spoke to briefly about organising upcoming treatments- THANK YOU.

Many thanks for sharing your story on Patient Opinion. It is great to read about your personal experience with Box Hill Hospital and to understand where we have done things very well. As fairly new subscribers to Patient Opinion, we are enjoying the opportunity to receive timely feedback and recognise not only where we do things well but also, identifying where we need to improve.

I will pass on your feedback to our frontline staff and also to their managers. Feedback like yours is always an important reminder on why we need to do the basic things well and a smile is always effective in communication at all levels and in all interactions. I think your story will give our staff an extra spring in their step.
