"Finding a suitable aged care facility for myself to rest after major ankle surgery"

About: Eastern Health

(as the patient),

My health fund would not cover respite which I needed for 6-8 weeks after major surgery for my ankle which I could not weight bear on for 8 weeks and I couldn't go home as I live by myself and I am a pensioner could not afford to go to special accommodation.

After many weeks of phoning surgeons & GP receptionists I was referred to Eastern Health which within two weeks had found somewhere that I could be placed at a reasonable price and was in the local area before I could be moved to rehabilitation after 8 weeks. The service was excellent and I must compliment your staff member Karyn for getting this set up before my impending operation. It did relieve me of a lot of stress. Thanking you sincerely.
