"Thank you for excellent treatment and stay at Maroondah Hospital"

I would like to express my gratitude to the Ambulance Service and Maroondah Hospital for the excellent treatment I received. Recently I had a fall in the garden resulting in a badly lacerated leg and arm. The ambulance arrived very quickly and took me to the Emergency Department. A thank you to the doctors and nurses for their prompt care and attention given to me. Taking time to explain my situation and that I would require plastic surgery. The nurses were friendly and took time to ease my pain and make me as comfortable as possible.

I was eventually transferred to East 3 Ward to await surgery. I would like to extend a very special "Thank You" to Dr. Paul for his excellent treatment, care and attendance during my stay. The East 3 nurses who looked after me were great, professional, caring, patient and friendly. Also a thank you to ward admin for their help.

Finally, I would like to thank the Transit Lounge nurse. I was waiting to be collected when I suddenly felt very ill. The nurse attended to me and acted very promptly when my blood pressure fell very low calling for doctors to attend to me. Four came very quickly, I was transferred to 1 North for a day or so until my blood pressure stabilized and I was allowed home with an outpatient appointment in three days time.
