"ED parking late at night"

(as the patient),

Going to the Emergency Department in the middle of the night with a sick baby is daunting enough. Walking with my baby from ED to the main entrance at 2am to pay for parking is even worse! Suggestion, install a pay machine closer to ED or be able to pay at the exit of the car park.

Dear Parking Envy,

Thank you for your valuable feedback describing your recent experience of going to the ED and having to use our parking service during the middle of the night.

The issue you have described is of great concern, especially as you were caring for your sick baby at the time and I completely understand how you must have found this situation unnerving.

I have spoken with the Nurse Unit Manager of ED who also greatly values your feedback and wishes you to know that currently, patients, carers and families are welcome to request an escort by our Hospital Security personnel to their car /parking machine during out of hours by making a request to either the administration or nursing staff in the ED.

I will forward your concerns to our Directors of Medical and Commercial Services for their consideration and please know that we take all feedback seriously.
