From the time I arrived by ambulance, with severe Vertigo, I felt cared for and safe. The care was practical and kind, and when I was admitted to Medical 3, the kindness and care was ongoing. I was well informed at all times, and after an MRI, was put under the care of the Neurology team, who continued testing to try and find the cause of my stroke. I am so grateful for the kindness of all the carers, Nathan in physio, as well as everyone else, nurses, etc.
I am not from Townsville, but from Brisbane and although the team would not allow me to fly home, they discharged me after 4 days and allowed my husband to drive me home with good advice for regular rest stops and my ongoing care will be handled in Brisbane.
The friendliest hospital I have ever been in. I am so grateful.
