Broke my toe, I feel I was not given correct treatment or advice in emergency room at Royal Adelaide Hospital. Toe has set at 45 degree facing out, was injured to 90 degrees. Is getting worse pulling 4th toes out. Pain is unbearable. Have been on waiting list for over 9 years to have it seen at the public hospital. They can't even tell me how much longer the wait is. File has been transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. When I asked the likely wait time, still backdated 9 years.
Would like to know approximate cost and possibility of going to a private doctor in a public hospital if it speeds up the process.
I'm a disabled single parent with an active child about to start school. Sooner this is sorted the better.
