(as a parent/guardian),

After a nasty fall resulting in loss of consciousness, our 7 year old was transported by Ambulance to Maroondah Hospital.

As a fellow EH employee, I just have to say that it was truly gratifying to see the ED team at work. We were seen almost immediately and we were cleared to leave as soon as our little man was deemed to be OK. After all, who wants to hang around the ED on a Saturday night.

The ED staff were brilliant with all of us, but especially our patient. It was such a relief to see him interacting and even smiling at times. And the Ambulance officers who attended were wonderful too. Attentive and reassuring at all times and able to get the spark going again in Master 7. Couldn't ask for better.

Many thanks for your sharing your story on Patient Opinion and such great feedback too. I do hope that Master 7 is on the mend and so glad to read that the emergency transfer, care and treatment all met your expectations.

I will be sure to pass your feedback on to our staff who will get a "buzz" no doubt from your feedback - after all, we all need to know where we excel and where we need to improve so all feedback is most welcome and certainly very much appreciated.

I am pleased also to read about your observations of the Ambulance staff and I will pass on your feedback to the CEO at Ambulance Victoria too. It's great to see our health and ambulance services working so well together and I feel privileged work in our health system.
